MD and co-founder of KS Elektro, an electrical engineering company based in Skagen that does installations on ships — control systems, power distribution, energy optimisation, retrofit work. Established 2016 with Karstensen Shipyard; the company now employs around 130 electricians and engineers.
Not an academic. No university affiliation in the social sciences. No journalism track record. No platform of any kind in the territory the book is about. The book was written in evenings and weekends over a stretch of months in 2026 in collaboration with Claude (Anthropic) — every paragraph chosen, every chapter structured, every cut made by me; the sentences, for the most part, produced in the long iterative back-and-forth that the preface and postface describe. The AI co-authorship is integral to the work, not a method I am hiding.
The substantive parts of the argument are also stated in academic form in a working paper. The book is the literary form. Both are at this site.
